Providing Extraordinary Travel Experiences

My first real travel adventure came as a young college student to a summer study abroad in Oaxaca. I didn’t grow up in a traveling family, but I knew that there was a whole world to explore – I was always curious about different people, places and cultures. I believe that much of what we know about the world is what we have learned while traveling, there is no doubt that we grow when we get out of our comfort zone. Now, as a mother of two, I know the importance of raising global citizens. As a family of 4 we have traveled and explored, in hopes of teaching our kids a sense of adventure, self discovery and independence.
There is nothing like your first animal sighting on safari, visiting an elementary school in Kenya, sipping homemade hot chocolate in Oaxaca’s zocalo, listening to local music around the world or making connections with people you meet along the way. Visiting new places opens your eyes to different cultures, makes you a more informed citizen of the world and brings meaning to things you only read about in books.
One of the best things about having a passion is being able to share it with others. I joined Departure Lounge in 2017 to do just that. Having a hand in their lifelong memories is a privilege.
